Parents and Friends Association (P&F)
What is the P&F?
The Parents and Friends Association is a very active part of our College community.
Since the school's inception, the CCW Parents and Friends Association (P&F) has been instrumental in coordinating inclusive school community activities to help raise funds to contribute towards the school. The CCW P&F functions as an important body in establishing a collegial school community where our families have a sense of belonging. The P&F supports this occurring via:
Many fundraising and social events are organised by the Parents and Friends and the support that is provided by this group enriches the College enormously. Funds raised by the various activities are channelled directly into resources that benefit students.

Being involved in P & F activities is a great way to connect with Cathedral College Wangaratta students and families.
Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month in the Chapel Meeting Room from 6.30-7.30pm. All parents/carers of students at the College are eligible to become members and are welcome to attend monthly meetings or express their interest to the President.
There is also a closed 'Cathedral College Parents' Facebook page on which you can stay up to date and connect with other parents.
The P & F welcome all members of the school community and aims to:
- encourage friendship and communication between parents
- ensure the range of events offered are inclusive of the whole school community
- promote a sense of belonging
- be highly approachable and reliable
- feel connected by the common purpose of being part of the College community.

What’s Involved in Joining the Parents & Friends (P&F) - An insight from Jessamy, P & F Member
Time Commitment:
P&F meetings are held approximately once a month during the school term, typically on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 PM—around nine meetings per year. You’re welcome to attend as many or as few meetings as your schedule allows. Most meetings run for an hour or less. You don’t need to be a committee member to attend—just come along when it suits you. Some meetings are held online for convenience, while in-person meetings often include drinks and nibbles in a relaxed, social setting.
What Does the P&F Actually Do?
The Parents & Friends group exists to support and connect the CCW community. We organise and host a range of events including the school fete, family picnics, morning teas, the Winter Ball, Cocktail Party, and Ladies’ Days. We also run the Mother’s Day and Father’s Day stalls. Some events include a fundraising component, and the funds raised allow us to:
- Support CCW families in times of need
- Contribute to school projects (like the Middle School playground)
- Assist specific year levels
- Support selected charities
New to the School? You’re Very Welcome!
Whether you’re new to CCW or have been part of the community for years, we value every contribution—big or small. Everyone is welcome to get involved, and it’s a great way to meet other parents and feel more connected to school life.
