2025 House Arts Competition

This competition offers students from Junior, Middle and Senior School the chance to submit works across a series of arts and technology categories to challenge their creative thinking and showcase their skills. Prizes are awarded to the winning submissions in each category for each sub-school.

Students may choose to submit works across multiple categories but can only submit one work per category. For instance, they may enter a submission in both writing and art, but only one submission for each.
The theme for this year is “Play”. Works do not have to explain their connection to the theme however they may wish to as part of the submission.
All submissions are due October 6, 2025.

Please read the category specifications to make sure your entry fits the requirements. Works are to be submitted to Mr Clark via email at: aclark@cathedralcollege.vic.edu.au or through the Arts Comp Google Form on the Student Portal at the link below:

Arts & Technology

(Max 1 submission per student)

Submissions include any painting, sculpture and visual communications based on the theme ‘Play’.

Music

(Max 1 filmed/recorded submission per student)

Submissions include any original and cover songs based on the theme ‘Play’, may be recorded or filmed.

Dance

(Max 1 filmed/recorded submission per student)

Submissions include any original and cover songs dance routine based on the theme ‘Play’

Writing

(1 submission per student, max 750 words)
Submissions include any writings such as fiction, plays or poems based on the theme ‘Play’.

Photography

(Max 1 photographed submission per student, max 3 images)

Submissions include any photographs or collections based on the theme ‘Play’.

Film

(1 submission per student, max 3 minutes in length)
